I read The National Telepathy by Roque Larraquy

Mysterious, weird, gross... Incredibly human (for better or worse) characters and an incredible aura of dread... I really enjoyed this and feel like any description beyond "epistolary style novel about the discovery of a sloth that can cause shared psychedelic experiences and everything that could subsequently go wrong with that" is ineffective at conveying what's so good about it. But also come on, how could you not be intrigued by that description... It plays with irony and what characters know/don't know or assume based on their position so well.
