I read Berlin Stories by Robert Walser

A collection of short stories and miscellaneous articles written by Robert Walser, arranged chronologically from when he moved to Berlin, lived and wrote there, and moved away, looking back on it. Across each perspective, he remains the writer of the small things in life, which is to say pleasure and beauty, on the level of finding a good park for people watching or a place that serves hot rolls with your pint, which is, of course, the highest of all.
